The Kaanapali Royal is located on the fairway of the Kaanapali Golf Course within the heart of the Kaanapali Resort. There is a gated entry to the property to increase privacy and control traffic. The Front Desk is operated by the Kaanapali Royal AOAO from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday to register guests and issue parking permits. All guests will check in at their unit using a lockbox. The property amenities include lighted tennis courts, heated swimming pool, spa hot pool, sauna, and barbeques. Whalers Village and Kaanapali Beach are minutes away by car or a nice walk for the able bodied.

The Kaanapali Royal has fifteen, three level buildings totaling 105 condominiums. First and second floor units are single level condominiums. The third floor units offer the master suite up-stairs on a second level. There are no elevators. Entering the unit may require climbing several flights of steps. All condominiums are two bedroom, two bath units featuring central air conditioning, complete kitchen, full size washer/dryer, cable TV, telephone, a sunken living room with steps and a spacious lanai.
