The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach has a total of 360 condominium apartments. Only 50 of these apartments are owned as Time Interval Units. Time Interval Owners own specific dates in specific units at the property. Some years these Time Interval Owners are unable to use their apartments and employ Vacation-Maui.Com to book guests into the dates that they own.

Owners pay annual dues to the Time Interval Association for maintenance of the interiors of the units. These apartments are relatively uniform in their decor and kitchen equipment although owners within an individual apartment may choose to assess themselves in addition to the regular annual fees to upgrade the apartment on an individual basis. All apartments must maintain a level of quality consistent with the property.

Time Interval units typically have the following amenities: Fully equipped kitchen, blender, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, TV, basic cable service, Cassette CD Player, air conditioning, bed linens and towels.

In 2006 ,The Whaler completed an extensive remodel of all but (3) of it's time interval units. Focusing on the front room , dining area and bedrooms only, they feature warm wood hues in elegant oriental- inspired themes. The one bedroom condos are furnished with a King-Size bed and a Queen Sofa Sleeper, while the Studios have a beautiful Wall unit/ Queen Size Murphy bed, and an extra large chair which converts into an extra-wide/long single bed. The sleek lines of dark woods, and warm hues are illustrated in these representative photos. Units may vary slightly , and units # 101,901, & 760 did not participate in the remodel, electing to create their own decor.
