Slava Snow Show Performance on Maui

For those of you who haven't heard of Slava, they are a band of clown performers from Russia that are generating a great deal of acclaim for their vivid and creative performances around the world. We are lucky enough to have them in our Castle Theater in Kahului next month on August 28th and 29th. These dates fall onto Friday and Saturday, so if you are vacationing on Maui, you may want to consider attending a performance. This is a great one for the kids!

The Slava Snow Show has been heralded as a beautiful spectacle of carefully crafted theatrical clowning. Of course you can expect some completely unbridled slapstick, but it will be combined with extravagantly beautiful visuals. This combination has earned Slava an international regard of performance genius. 

Just when you think you've seen it all, something appears to surprise you. Slava should certainly accomplish that. The ensemble cast of clowns use cobwebs, water, bubbles, dry ice and several other unique mediums to dazzle the audience. Not to provide too many spoilers, but you will see a tiny piece of paper begin a blinding snowstorm that engulfs the audience in a blizzard of snowflakes, a "bed" that becomes a "boat" onstage, and a web of cotton which will envelop the audience.
