Maui Voted World's Best Island in Conde Nast Poll

The Condé Nast Reader's Choice Award revealed Maui as the number one rated island in the world. Number scores are attached to each island, and categories include Europe, Asia/Indian Ocean, North America, Caribbean/Atlantic and the Pacific. Not only did Maui beat its competitor islands in the Pacific, but it scored higher than the winners from all the other categories as well.

Maui's score was 90.1. Kauai received a score of 87.8, and was Maui's closest competition. The Maldives followed in the Asia/Indian Ocean category with 87.5. Only 11 islands in the world scored above 80 and seven of those were in the Pacific.

 Have you ever heard the phrase, "Maui no ka oi?" We say it all the time! It means Maui is the best. While people may boast about other islands similarly, based on this year's consensus, only Maui's claim is true.
