New Alaska Airlines Flight Between Oakland and Maui

A new flight will begin service between Maui and Oakland, California, starting this month. The carrier is Alaska Airlines, which has recently added new flights from Seattle as well.

The starting date for operation was November 9th and includes four weekly flights between Oakland and Maui. Starting on November 10th were three weekly flights between Oakland and Kona on the Big Island.

This is the first flight service from Alaska Airlines that runs between the Bay Area and Hawaii. Hawaiian Airlines has been operating daily flights between Oakland and Honolulu for some time.

What does all this mean to the Maui vacationer? Why, more competitive travel costs, of course! The more flights traveling to and from Maui, the more likely you are to find cheaper flights.
