Japan Airlines New Boeing and Flights to Hawaii

Japan Airlines (JAL) expects 419,407 international passenger reservations, some between Tokyo and Honolulu, during the vacation period between December 25 and January 5. JAL is Japan's largest carrier and is also one of the top five airlines serving Hawaii.
The JAL passenger count for Hawaii specifically is 59,000 which should fill planes by about 91 percent on their Hawaii routes. The airline is scheduled to add 76 flights to Hawaii, Guam, Bali and Cambodia.
JAL is also awaiting the arrival of their new Boeing, the 787 Dreamliner which will operate between the expanded Haneda airport and various long-distance destinations like the U.S., Europe and South East Asia.
The Chicago-based Boeing was recently tested in Everett, Washington. This plane is Boeing's newest aircraft and was two years late in development. It seats between 210 and 250 people. You may wonder what kind of a price tag comes with a craft like this. They cost around $161-$171.5 million each.
Seeing as Japan is responsible for so much of Hawaii's revenue in tourism, it's good to know that JAL can afford aircraft like the Dreamliner and that they can expand operations for the holidays.
