Ohana Day at a Maui Historical Museum

Want to get to know Hawaiian culture better on your vacation? Whether you are on a family vacation with the kids, a romantic honeymoon or retirement vacation, the Bailey House Museum in Wailuku should offer some deep insight into both Hawaiian history and culture for you.
The museum's first Ohana (family) Day is coming up on the 24th of this month. Between the hours of 12p.m. and 4p.m., admission will be half off. Adults will get in for $3, seniors for $2 and kids aged 12 and under for free. You're probably thinking that regular admission is pretty cheap already, and you're right!
It's definitely worth the trip and a few bucks to get in and tour the place. In fact, they'll have poi pounding demonstrations on the grounds, which should be interesting for visitors of all ages.
If you want to learn more about the Bailey Museum, you can look at the Maui Historical Society website. They run the museum and collect, preserve, study, interpret and share Maui's heritage and history to visitors and residents who would like to enrich their knowledge of the island and its culture.
