New Years Eve Jazz Night in Lahaina

Holiday Vacation to Maui

Looking for a place to celebrate in historic Lahaina Town on New Year's Eve? For the dawning of 2013, visitors and residents alike will be out celebrating their hopes for the year to come, their accomplishments of the past year, and perhaps the knowledge that the end of the Mayan calendar was not, in fact, the end of the world!

If you'll be on a holiday vacation to Maui during December 31st, we've found an event that looks to be a lot of fun. Lulu's Lahaina and Jazz Maui will be presenting jazz guitarist Dan Sumner for a New Year's Eve celebration at Lulu's in the Lahaina Cannery Mall. Don't worry, there's no cover charge that you'll have to bother with. We try to keep our eyes open for events that are ideal for those on a budget as well as those looking for luxury on their visit to Maui. At Lulu's, you'll get a complimentary glass of champagne with every dinner entree you purchase, which is a nice touch.

As for the musician, Dan Sumner is a world renown jazz guitarist and music educator. He hails from New Orleans, and he is an assistant professor of music education and guitar at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He is a recorded artist, and has toured worldwide.

Jazz Maui is part of the Arts Education for Children Group, a non-profit that strives to present fantastic professional musical performances from both local and guest musicians. They are selective enough that you can trust a good performance any time their name is on the presentation.

We hope you have an amazing New Year's Eve however you choose to spend it! Check in every Friday for a new blog on Maui vacation advice and activity ideas. Mahalo!
