Experience Wailea Restaurant Week in May

Looking for a culinary adventure that you can enjoy while vacationing to Maui? Ours is an island full of fantastic flavors as varied and unique as the many microclimates that make up its landscapes. Restaurants are working to incorporate local ingredients into their menus more and more. How does the Maui fare stack up to your other favorite destinations? There's an upcoming event that may provide you with the perfect opportunity to find out.

Restaurant Week Wailea is a celebration of fine cuisine throughout Wailea, a luxury vacation destination on Maui's south shore. The event will begin on Sunday, May 21 and continue on until Saturday, May 27th. If you're on the island during that time, you can dine at any of the 21 participating resort restaurants for special menu options.

The event will feature the creations of celebrity chefs at celebrated restaurants who will present three-course prix-fixe menus at reasonable prices. They'll range from $29 to $59 per person, depending on where you choose to go. The finest restaurants in the world often serve the courses that they want you to experience, so why not try it here on Maui?

If you're open to a new experience and fascinating flavor surprises, you could have a great time trying the courses that these award-winning chefs choose to combine to create these special meals. Some restaurants have even chosen specially priced wine pairings that you can add to their collection of flavors.

Keep in mind that although the menu prices are fixed, some restaurants don't include tax, gratuity and beverages. That being said, the prices are more than reasonable for a three-course meal. You can also feel good about the fact that this dining promotion is supporting the Maui Food Bank, as it has done since it began in 2009. A portion of the proceeds from each pre-fixe entrée sold will be donated to this valuable non-profit. In fact, the event has raised over $80,000 for the Maui Food Bank so far, and that's something that participating staff, owners, and diners can be proud of.

We recommend that you make reservations to ensure that you get a table during this celebrated event. Here is the official list of restaurants that will be taking part in the event.
