The Growing List of Nonstop Flights to Maui

Thinking about taking a trip to Maui? There are plenty of things to consider, like when you want to go, what you want to do, how much you want to spend and where you want to stay. For accommodations, we suggest that you check out our Maui vacation rental specials, and as for getting here, the list of direct flights to Maui has only been growing lately as more and more airlines continue to expand their service. In fact, you might be surprised at how far away you can be and still get a direct Maui flight. Here is a current list, with future service in parenthesis.


  • Anchorage: Alaska
  • Bellingham: Alaska
  • Calgary: Air Canada, WestJet
  • Chicago: United (5 flights per week, as of December, 2017)
  • Dallas: American
  • Denver: United (daily, as of December 2017)
  • Edmonton: WestJet
  • Los Angeles: American, Delta, Hawaiian, United (3 flights per day, as of December, 2017), Virgin America
  • Oakland: Alaska, Hawaiian
  • Phoenix: American
  • Portland: Alaska, Hawaiian (as of January, 2018)
  • Sacramento: Alaska
  • Salt Lake City: Delta (daily, as of December, 2017)
  • San Diego: Alaska
  • San Francisco: Hawaiian, United (5 flights per day, as of December, 2017), Virgin America
  • San Jose: Alaska, American, Hawaiian
  • Seattle: Alaska, Delta, Hawaiian
  • Vancouver: Air Canada, WestJet

Multiple airlines have recently announced the expansion of their service to Maui. United Airlines will begin its new flights to Maui in December, 2017, for a total of 40 daily flights to Hawaii via 11 routes. The new flights will include Denver and Chicago (the only one from Chicago), along with additions to the San Francisco and Los Angeles service. United offers the most flights to the islands out of any carrier, but there are other options as well.

Delta has also announced that it will add a new direct flight between Maui and Salt Lake City in December. Meanwhile, Hawaiian Airlines is adding a flight between Maui and Portland in January of 2018. On a side note, Hawaiian Airlines is one of the most highly rated in the nation, particularly when it comes to on-time flights and low incidence of mishandled baggage.
