Shopping at the Made in Maui County Festival

If you're looking for a unique Maui vacation experience, or more importantly, unique gifts and souvenirs to bring home with you, don't miss out on the upcoming Made in Maui County Festival on Saturday, November 4th, 2017. The festival brings together local artisans, crafters, farmers, and other vendors who create their wonderful products right here in Hawaii. At this festival, you won't find those cheap manufactured imports that fill tourist shops. You'll find a wide variety of creative, unique, well-made Hawaii products from jewelry to art to food products and more.

The Festival is Maui County's biggest products show, and this will be its fourth year. During each of the prior festivals, this event has gained more and more momentum, attracting thousands of eager buyers to find those elusive creations that were made with heart and skill, plus that special infusion of inspiration that the islands provide.

If you're looking for authenticity in a product, souvenir or gift, this festival is going to be your best bet for finding it. Each of this year's 140 plus vendors has been screened ahead of time to ensure that they are headquartered in Maui County, and that the majority of work required to create their products has been done in Hawaii. If you're looking for variety in a collection of authentic products, this festival will be your best bet, too. These vendors feature apparel, furniture, collectibles, jewelry, art, foods, crafts, toys, and products for pets, among many other categories.

Interested in attending? The festival will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului on Saturday, November 4th. The doors will open at 8am and close at 4:30pm. Admission is a reasonable $5 per person at the gate, but children ages 12 and under get in free. Along with the shopping experience, the festival will feature product demonstrations, a fashion show, prize drawings, and there will also be 12 Maui food trucks selling some of the tastiest food items that you'll eat on your Maui vacation.

The festival also has plans for Friday, which they've dubbed "Exclusive Shopping Day." From 1:30pm to 6pm, attendees will enjoy the opening ceremonies and complimentary pupus (appetizers) at 4pm. There will also be food for sale from three food trucks until 4pm. This day of the festival costs $35 per person for admission, but children ages 12 and under get in free. If you attend, you'll get a free festival tote bag and you can enter to win their "Maui Getaway Travel Package," which could snag you your next vacation experience.

To purchase tickets and get more information, visit www.mauiarts.org. Tickets have been on sale at the MACC Box Office since August, and you can also buy tickets by calling (808) 242-SHOW (7469). In the meantime, if you need assistance with your Maui vacation rentals, you'll find our contact information at the bottom of the page. Mahalo!
