The view was absolutely breathtaking. We saw sea turtles every time we looked at the beach from our balcony. How lucky are we! The resort is very easy to get around and in close proximity to businesses in walking distance. We loved the unit itself and was pleasantly surprised that it came fully stocked and anything we could even think to want! It was very clean and appeared remodeled. We were very happy. Thank you for everything!

Perfect space for our family during our 9 night stay! Tons of space to spread out. Fabulous views, tons of turtles and great snorkeling right from the beach. Captain Jack’s was fantastic- the steak wedge salad and chips and guac are my fav. Our group ranged from 17-75 and it was great for all of us.

We had such a nice time at Sands of Kahana. The beach was awesome, and had a great time playing in the ocean. There is some great snorkeling to the left of the beach. Spent some time watching sea turtles every day. Kids loved the pool and the smoothies from the restaurant. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The penthouse had plenty of space for all of us, and was clean. They provided lots of beach toys, a wagon, beach towels, coolers, etc. Everything you could need for the perfect beach day.

Lovely property and great overall experience. We stayed for 11 nights, family of 6. This was our second time at Sands of Kahana and would love to stay in this unit again. Air conditioning kept it cool when needed but mostly we just used the screen door to listen to the waves. Very spacious unit and amazing panoramic views from the top floor where we saw whales (even still in May!) and turtles daily.

The penthouse unit is really something special… Very spacious with the high ceilings and having the bedroom/bathroom suite upstairs, and two bedrooms downstairs, Everyone really has their own space. We especially enjoyed spending time on the beach-facing lanai, and the ability to scope out the crowd levels both on the beach and in the pool and Jacuzzi. Also note that the resort itself has a great little bar and grill, and also some great deals for renting snorkeling or boogie board equipment. But Alisa’s unit also has some things like beach chairs, coolers, and a couple of boards stashed in the closet. Very handy!

Just WOW! Waking up to the balcony views of the ocean and mountain was amazing. From our balcony we saw dozens of turtles, dolphins, and even whales at a distance! The house was super equipped. They had bath towels for everyone and even beach towels to take down to the pool and beach! They had boogie boards, beach toys, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and more! The kitchen was super well equipped as well! Good quality pots, pans, tons of dishes and glasses. The location amazing. Private beach and only 10 minutes away from downtown Lahaina. I super RECOMMEND this location for anyone looking to stay in Maui!

Excellent property with amazing views! It was as described and large & spacious. Perfect for a family or couples! We enjoyed the beach and pool side restaurant daily. Close to local restaurants with a convenience grocer across the street and proper grocery stores/liquor store nearby! Would stay there again!

Our family of 5 loved the spacious penthouse. Everyone had their own space, but more people could definitely be comfortable. The views were awesome from both the upstairs suite and the downstairs open bedroom. All the beds were comfortable. The Sands of Kahana resort was not the fanciest but still beautiful and felt less crowded. We always were able to get a chair at the beach no matter what time of day. The restaurant was nice for a quick convenient bite or drink. The sport equipment rental on the property was the best. The staff there were so nice and helpful and the prices for rentals was very reasonable. I definitely would stay at this property and penthouse again. Thank you!

Terrific place and excellent location right on the beach. The unit was big and spacious and convenient to not only the beach but a few shops and restaurants as well. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on both balconies and loved the privacy the unit afforded us. It did get a little hot later in the day but opening windows and running multiples fans seemed more effective than the AC. A tremendous value and very enjoyable stay!

We stayed at Lisa’s condo for 7 nights. This was my family’s favorite vacation rental of all time. The condo was stocked with every possible thing you could need. The kitchen had everything. There were kids activities: games, art supplies, toys, etc. there was enough snorkel and beach gear for everyone. The lanais were gorgeous. The beds were all so comfortable. I meant to check the mattress in the master because I loved it so much. We never turned the AC on because the breeze was amazing. I give this place 10 stars. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Also it’s says I’m from Brookfield but it’s actually Cincinnati.

I will try to keep this short as I could go on-and-on how much we enjoyed our visit. First, Lisa Alpine (owner) could not have been nicer or more attentive through the entire process. From the time we rented the condo 1 year in advance to check out, I felt as if I was working with a friend. The welcome basket she provided was also very generous. I recommend connecting with Lisa before you rent. FYI – we had 5 adults and 3 children under 10.
The condo was immaculate with amenities galore. From napkins, paper plates, tinfoil, plastic wrap, laundry supplies, spices, storage containers, espresso machine, coffee grinder, first aid supplies, clothes drying rack, cooler, games, beach chair, towels, umbrella and toys to a large French door fridge/freezer with an extra fridge/freezer in the hall closet. All of these things helped reduce our overall cost of our trip. Lisa also had a queen-sized air mattress set up which was nicer than having to use the pull-out couch.
The location was excellent: ocean view, beach that was perfect for the kids, quiet (we rarely heard any neighbor activity) and we have now been spoiled by having A/C in Hawaii. There are a few restaurants and a Whaler’s General Store within walking distance.
At the Sands, we were able to use pool/hot tub, workout rooms and Vacation Club Room. The Vacation Club Room (kitchen set-up, restroom, showers and towels) came in handy so we could hang out at the beach after checkout until our evening flight. The staff at the Sands were very pleasant.

Absolutely loved it! Pool was wonderful. Enjoyed the Beach house many times in our month stay Food was great and great service.

Great time in a super fun and family friendly place. Just perfect and we will plan another stay soon

Our stay at #337 Sands of Kahana was wonderful. the view from the living room window and master BR lanai was magnificent. The Condo is equipped with every kitchen appliance you could want and all of the appliances including the Washer and Dryer are top of the line. Lots of equipment for enjoying the beach (we left a few more!) as well as lots of extras in the condo (paper goods, spices, games, books etc). Lisa, the owner, was very responsive to all of our questions. The on site restaurant is also very good for casual meals. The on site staff does a great job in keeping the site clean and the outdoor Grill's are cleaned spotless EVERY morning If you need a 3 BR condo on Maui, you will not go wrong with this one.

We stayed in this condo for nine glorious days! Everything in this condo is absolutely perfect! We thought that the condo looked amazing in the pictures, but the condo is even more spectacular in person! We didn’t think that would be possible, but it was! I could have stayed on the balcony all day looking at the view!

The condo is very spacious, extremely clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything that you could possibly need! We cooked a few days of the trip and we were so impressed that we had everything that was needed! All the equipment for the beach were great too!

We are from TX so we are accustomed to air conditioning, and the A/C was perfect. To top it off, the grounds were immaculately kept clean and the staff were very friendly.

I would be amiss if I did not mention the amazing condo owner, Lisa. She was so wonderful to work with and more than happy to help in any way. We appreciated her for so many reasons! If you are hesitant to book, hurry up and do it because this has got to be the best condo on the island!

We have stayed in unit 2104 on three different occasions.  It is perfect for our family.  The location on the 10th floor has incredible views of the hills and gold course to the east and the ocean to the west.  The unit is comfortable and quiet.  Quality everything but comfortable, not formal.  Perfect for our Maui vacation vibe.  The kitchen is brand new, awesome appliances (and every pan/ tool/utensil/knife we need to cook in-house or grill poolside), and the island with stools is great when cooking or cocktailing.  Bathrooms are updated and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the master has a 2nd sliding door to the lanai so you can sleep with the screen and hear the ocean.  Plenty of towels and beach toys and gear and a brand new full size washer and dryer which are always a difference maker for us.  Parking is convenient, covered, and hassle free.  I am not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place on earth.  Mahalo

Stayed here for 2 weeks for my wife's 50th birthday. The condo itself and the location are the BEST. We enjoyed going from the hot tub, to the pool and then walk out to the beach. We already booked to go back next year. This place does not disappoint. Make sure you have the Grillmaster help you on your grilling needs. Purchased lobsters from Costco and he grilled them up. Dinner and cocktails out on the lanai with the view are stunning. You won't regret this stay. Money well spent. Aloha.

Enjoyed our stay

This was an excellent property. With a fridge, a view of the water and mountains (we saw numerous rainbows). Short walking distance to Whaler's Village, a collection of shops. Plenty of towels and amenities provided. And the property manager was easily available for stupid questions, like the garbage disposal switch location. Its a great place to stay.

Such a beautiful location and perfect place for our family to spend the week. We loved the BBQ area where we spent many nights having dinner and watching the sunset. We will definitely come back!!!

We love staying at the Kaanapali Alli! The management staff was easy to get a hold of and the place was in good condition. The location could not be better!

The property was very lovely and the unit was described as listed. The location is very convenient to enjoy a walk along the beach, to shop and restaurants. Unfortunately, we had maintenance person respond quickly to our call about the dryer not working even though it’s a very new unit. The repair was going to require involving appliance store and warranty issue. So we went the entire vacation without a dryer. But, everything else was absolutely delightful.

The pictures are an accurate representation of the unit. It was clean. While we did not need any additional assistance the rental company was attentive and offered help should we need it. We love this resort and would stay again.

This home showed exactly as the photos represented. It was clean, updated, and had a great floor plan. Convenient location. The staff were professional and courteous. We enjoyed our stay!

This was our first stay at the Ali'i and we were so happy with the resort. As longtime, loyal 'Whaler' guests, it was fun to be at another location, but one that was still so convenient. The resort staff were excellent! The staff at the towel shack were so accommodating and we loved the grill master that manned the barbecues. The gym was amazing, we loved the beach too. The Vacation-Maui were so great too - we had an issue with the washing machine, and they were super responsive and walked me through the fix over the phone. The unit was lovely - however, for this level of accommodations, the beds and bedding should be better. The beds were obviously old as they were both so soft, and the bedding was old as well. When one pays this kind of money, the beds should be as nice as a 4-star hotel. Also, it was odd that there was no glass cleaner in the unit with the number of glass tables.

Always enjoy the Alii. This condo was very nice, especially the partial ocean view.

Easy walking distance to the nearby Whalers Village, great beach, restaurants, etc

Kaanapali Alii was a great family experience! The condo was in great shape with great views! When an issue arose, the on-site team resolved quickly without any worry. Grounds were fantastic - beach, pool and BBQ accommodations that had great opportunity to meet other vacationers. Easy walk to Whaler’s Village. Give it a 10 on a 10 scale!

My family was attending a wedding in Maui and decided to make a 10 day vacation out of the event. I did a lot of research with my primary requirements being (in priority) - 2 bedroom, resort ocean front, full kitchen, pool space for young children, in the Kaanapali area. Kaanapali alii met everyone of those requirements at a reasonable price. I had my wife, two your boys (2 and 4) and also my parents in the condo for a few days and there was never an issue with space.Condo Review - The condo is outdated in furnishings and dcor (circ 1980), however it did what we needed a place to spread out for the kids and not feel on top of each other. With the young kids it was important to have the ability to have meals in the condo, which we did most days. Also having an extra large lanai allowed us to have another area to eat and enjoy the weather. In reality the condo has beautiful views of the golf course and mountains, the ocean view is limited to standing on lanai. Being up 10 floors was nice. Resort Review - The Kaanapali alii has beautiful grounds and a great staff. Situated right on the beach it was easy to go back and forth to the room. The pool area had 3 pool areas and 2 hot tubs, plenty of space for adults and children. My boys (2 and 4) couldn't get enough of the kids pool. The staff was exceptional from check-in to check-out, everyone we spoke with was there to make your trip enjoyable...A++ to the entire staff. Additional info, being a short walk to the Whalers Village also was great for the family to do quick shopping and dining. The workout facility is large, clean and very well maintained. Overall - We were very happy with the Kaanapali alii resort which made our trip one of our favorites. I would stay in this condo or another at the resort in the future.

The alii is ideally located in the heart of Kaanapali, and is fronted by a wide beach. The pool area isn't as big as some of the resorts but it has a very nice covered open-air lounge area and a large beachfront bbq and eating area. The aforementioned beach is staffed by alii employees who loan out (free) beach chairs.Our unit was very spacious: our party of four, which included two full-sized teens never felt crowded. The second bedroom isn't a full bedroom, but there's plenty of space with the sliding doors providing some privacy. There's a large lanai with nice mountain views and a peek of the beach. The bathrooms were a little dated but clean and functional. We didn't use the kitchen much but the appliances were in good shape and it was reasonably well stocked.This was a very nice unit in an upscale condo complex ideally located in Kaanapali. We'll stay here again.

This condo was in a perfect location and our family just loved the short walk to whalers village and the walk to black rock for snorkeling.We had a beautiful vacation and we really enjoyed the pool at the condo and the friendly staff. no doubt we would stay here again.
