This place was perfect.

We always stay at The Whaler. Our unit was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The view and location is incredible! Can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Whalers. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. The bed was comfortable, plenty of extra towels and the room felt bigger than a studio. We lived sitting out on the lanai and enjoyed the views. One suggestion would be to keep a small cooler for guest to use. We had to rent a cooler for the week. It’s nice to have for day trips or to take snacks and drinks down to the beach.

This was a beautiful room with a great view. Highly recommend. Property description was accurate. Was able to observe numerous whales from our room and views of the mountains as well as black rock. The large mirrored wall kept the place bright and open. Kitchen made for a great stay. Only con was the bedding was heavy for the weather and the bed did sink in allot which made it hard to move. Ceiling fan light also kept turning on by itself but owner said she would work on this. Overall great room and excellent location for activities! Parking was even easier than other locations I have stayed at.

An absolutely wonderful stay! The property and room were gorgeous. They even provided a fun Easter egg hunt for the kids, which we absolutely loved. All around, very high quality.

We’ve stayed in five different Whaler condos and this is the best! Very clean and well maintained. The amenities are excellent and a short walk to restaurants/shopping. He beach is the best! Highly recommend this unit.

We spent 10 glorious days at Ka’anapali beach at Whaler 764. Everything was great. The condo is completely up to date and is tastefully furnished. Beach toys galore are stashed in the closet. There are beautiful views from balcony and sun protection during the day. Whaler 764 is a definite 5 stars!

This condo was very well updated, maintained, and very clean. The bed was comfortable, and guests can enjoy using the supplied coolers, snorkel flippers, and beach chairs. Great view of the beach and ocean from the balcony as well!

This was at least our 4th stay in #764, and with good reason. The renovation done by the owners is just about perfect, and two of us had everything we needed for a month-long stay. There are many thoughtful touches and details, and the overall aesthetic and comfort of the unit is top notch. We will choose #764 whenever it's available!

We liked the room you put us in very much, but if you would not have messed up our original reservation we would not have had to move to another room for one night. It was inconvenient to have to unpack and repack to move and we could not go grocery shopping until we got to the new room,.

Great place to relax and enjoy the incredible views.

Prime location for access to beach, restaurants and shopping. Spacious lanai. Kitchen well equipped. Great for whale and people watching.

We surprisingly but happily found ourselves in Maui for the second time this year and stayed again in this unit. It did not disappoint! We remain happy with the accommodations and with the service from Vacation-Maui. We will return!

We had visited Maui a couple of dozen times but somehow we hadn't been for almost 8 years. Unit 751 was the best possible place for us to enjoy our return.

The condo was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The wraparound oceanfront balcony was incredible and we enjoyed many take-out dinners there. With the restaurant situation as it is in Maui right now, the balcony was just a perfect place to dine with an amazing view - better than any restaurant. And there were some toys to enjoy in the ocean.

The only negative thing that I would say is that the place is in need of a deep clean. The counters etc. were clean but knobs were a little grimy, bugs and other crud were visible through the bathroom ceiling tiles and the shower head was dirty (although I was able to clean most of the mold / mildew off).

The cleaning issues are solvable and would not deter us from renting this condo again. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful property.

Fabulous grounds at the Whaler!
Love the attention to detail and the care the staff show for the environment of the property.
The unit was perfect for my needs. All of the little things were provided-great to not have to purchase salt and pepper, for example. A large space and enough storage. The balcony is huge! I loved sitting outside for meals if just to relax. The owners provided boogie boards and smirking gear which was awesome. Beach chairs and umbrellas, kids sand toys. All fantastic to not have to purchase.
Suggestions:
The overall cleanliness of the space-it needs a really deep clean. The carpets are stained. There is rust and mildew on the shower curtains, in the bathrooms. Dust in the corners, in the cupboards and drawers
I was missing a kettle but called down and one was provided. The toaster didn’t work and was replaced.
Better quality sheets. Polyester sheets are hot and do not breathe.
It would be great to have a cooler/reusable ice packs to take out to the beach or on excursions.
Travel mugs/bottles would be nice to have to take down to the pool.

We always have a wonderful time here. The Whaler is my go-to property on Maui. What a great location. It is also immaculately kept and maintained with a very friendly, helpful staff.

Great location! We love Maui and staying at The Whaler is perfect.

The best seat in the house. This unit has balcony seating on 2 sides. It allows seating in the shade or sun. Views of the beach, pool and black rock. Whale watching was awesome. There poeple at The Whaler are very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back next year.

The condo is really nice ~ exactly as pictured. Beautiful views and though we thought the 2nd floor would put us too close to the busy board walk up front, it really didn't bother us. We saw whales in the distance which was nice and the owner supplied binoculars. The stove was difficult to understand and the owners manual we found in the drawer wasn't much help. I would recommend a 1 page laminated sheet next to the stove since after we pushed various buttons trying to get it to work, it froze up completely and we had to reset the breaker in order to turn it off and reset it. The whole process lengthy (about an hour) and we had 4 hungry people waiting for breakfast. (no we're not illiterate ~ 1st problem w/ any stove in any place we've rented). Once we figured it out, it was fine after that. Beds are comfy and everything was clean. Staff at the Whaler were fantastic and friendly. No welcome basket (which we've grown spoiled to receiving especially at this price range) so it made it seem a bit impersonal but that's ok. Coffee pot did not work and the spare "used" one in the closet didn't have a pot that fit so it wouldn't brew. Had to walk to get coffee and wait in a very long line our 1st morning there. No fault of the owners I guess since maybe previous renters didn't let them know. I called and let mgmt know and a new pot was brought late afternoon. Much appreciated since we like relaxing w/ coffee on our lanai in the mornings without having to go out right away. Owner did provide plenty of starter stuff (laundry, shampoo, conditioner, etc...) Couple of boogie boards, and 4 beach chairs provided, but 2 had broken straps. Fold up insulated bag. This is on resort row, so it's very busy up front but if you know the location ~ you expect that. Easy walk to restaurants & shopping. High-top tables allow for great viewing over the rail. Overall great place although we'd probably look for at least the 3rd floor next time. Thanks for the stay.

We had a wonderful week in Maui at the Whaler Unit 252, this is always our go-to unit as it is close to the beach and pool, and the unit itself is kept in excellent condition with all the amenities you need to have an enjoyable and worry free vacation.

Whaler 252 is the best all around condo I have vacationed in. You cannot beat the location & views, beautiful amenities of this unit, or the attention to detail the owners have provided. This is a A+++++++!

Everything about this condo was amazing. The description was spot on and it had everything we needed and more! All you need is to step out on patio however and you presented with the most beautiful view one has ever seen. We have been the the Whalers often but this is our new "go" spot. The owners were very responsive to our internet issue which was resolved quickly.. however who needs internet when you are in paradise!

This condo was first class in every way! The location is PERFECT! Everything was high quality, clean, spacious and wonderful. We were traveling with 2 other families and ended up hosting dinners at our place because the BBQ's on the property by the beach were great, and it was a better view and more convenient for us all to eat together. And enough balcony seating for 11 people! We had rented chairs from our car rental place and didn't need them because there were beach chairs and floats in the unit for us to use AND free chairs on the beach, provided by the Whaler. The ONLY issue that needs to be noted is that the description online says "Whaler 252 has a King bed, a set of double twins, queen sofa bed and a futon accommodating up to six guest." THIS IS NOT ACCURATE! There are 2 kings and a sofa bed ONLY. This was a potential problem because we have an 18 year old daughter and 15 year old son and they don't sleep in the same bed. Fortunately, my son was a good sport and slept on the sofa bed in the living room. I brought this to the attention of the owners, thinking there was a way to separate the king in to 2 twins, but they informed me (quite coldly) that "It has been a king bed for several years." Ummm... how would I know that? I notice that the description has still not been updated. One of the big reasons we chose this place is because they would each have their OWN bed. Disappointing as it seems they don't really care that the description is incorrect but it didn't end up being a problem.

11 days in Paradise . 11 Fantastic days at the Whaler location is incredible views are incredible you can't beat the weather or the restaurantS.

The unit surpassed our needs and expectations. The view was incredible and the accommodations were impeccable. The owners were very responsive, helpful and clear in all necessary communications and documentation. The combination of all this helped create what will be a lasting and very special family vacation to Maui.

I can't say enough good things about this trip and Whaler #252. We did our research and this looked liek the best thing going. Expectation were high, but they were exceeded when we actually showed up. You couldn't ask for a better location to enjoy Kaanapali from! We had our teenage children and parents in tow, and they all loved the unit and the experience. Don't hesitate. . .just grab it and enjoy all that the area has to offer with close up views of the ocean, beach, whales and passers by, day and night. Heaven! We will be back ;)

We really enjoyed our stay at #252 Whaler. The acual condo looks better than the pictures. We loved the big lanai that looked directly onto the beach and we spent hours from morning until night on it. The place was very roomyand was stocked with the necessary items for a wonderful stay.

We love returning to this wonderful rental. Amazing views and proximity to everything.

The absolute best location!

The Whaler is wonderful! Our room was gorgeous and this area of Maui is incredible. The perfect spot for our 20th anniversary trip. The staff at the Whaler is cheerful and professional. The amenities are excellent. Our only regret is not staying longer. Thank you for a really memorable vacation.

This place was absolutely incredible. The huge wrap around lanai. Only one set of stairs and you're basically on the beach. The place was clean and beach chairs and umbrellas were provided. We had absolutely amazing time. Being able to cook and prepare lunches was a huge plus as well. They have ample tupperware as well to bring your goodies to the beach. Overall so amazing

It was a beautiful location.very well stocked with anything you would need. Loved all the glass in the living room/dining room. And each bedroom had lots of glass and beautiful views also ☀️! Lots of nice patio furniture for watching the sunsets also.

Very nice stay here and would stay here again. The corner layout makes it feel open and light. That said, it's right next to the pickle ball courts which open at 8 am, so some morning noise is possible with the doors open.

We stayed in this idyllic condo April 2024. The location on Ka'anapali beach is great and this condo's location is perfect in the back corner of tower 1 with views of the mountains and ocean. The condo has floor to ceiling sliders on 2 sides and enables you to get so much fresh air while still maintaining privacy. We loved that the unit had 2 bathrooms, one with a great soaking tub and the other with a walk in rain shower. The decor was beautiful and very comfortable. The unit comes with boogey boards, umbrella and some beach toys but no beach chairs. The common areas of the resort were very clean and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Lahaina.

Sunrise view over the west mountains, and an ocean view from the wraparound lanai. Clean, comfortable...overall a great vrbo experience! Unit had beach chairs and an umbrella, or you could rent from the resort. Right on the beachwalk and next door to Whalers Village restaurants and shops.

This unit is in a building with a great location, on the beach next to restaurants and shopping. The building has excellent management, staff and security. There was some noise from construction within the building during the weekdays we were there, but there was nothing management could do.

This condo is adorable, clean, and its location within the complex is A+ for people who like privacy and quick egress to their car and the mall/restaurants next door. There’s a private back entrance to avoid the crowded boardwalk. More importantly, the beds were comfortable and the Murphy bed has a temperpedic type mattress, so the kids can sleep in comfort. We spent hours on the wrap around lanai enjoying the mountain and ocean view. Would definitely book again!

Our unit in The Whaler was perfectly located and easily accessible. The condo itself was clean and recently renovated, which made our stay that much better.

This condo was close to Black Rock for snorkeling and Whalers Village for some quick food. The location with in the building was great as well: sunrise and mountains from one part of the balcony and sunset and ocean views from the other. Very comfortable with all the amenities we wanted.

From arrival to departure, room 224 was just perfect.

The room was clean and ready when we arrived.. As a family of four, the size of this rental was just what we needed. The Murphy bed in combination with the king size bed in the bedroom was plenty of space for sleeping the four of us.

We used the kitchen everyday and cooked a few simple dinners. Everything you need for cooking (and more) is available.

The Whaler itself is also just awesome. We enjoyed using the grills as well as the pool - and there is no need to describe how awesome the general location is !

Room 224 was great! We would recommend (and have) staying here to anyone!

Vac-Maui Management staff were incredible to work worth!! The Whaler is a perfectly located condo, right next to the Whaler Village, and plenty is restaurants.
