Condo had all the basics to start the stay. Beds very comfortable. Large table for dining and cards very important. We enjoyed the unit and highly recommend to those that follow you will not be disappointed.

We had eight adult family members and all really enjoyed our stay, though one room, as correctly advertised, had smaller children’s beds that required us to push together for one couple, so this is a better property for 6 adults maximum I would say. The door lock was funky and a challenge to open and lock, and i think is in need of replacement. We were greeted by a few unwelcome friends on the floor when we arrived (mostly dead), which surprised us because we felt the unit was very clean, and noticed no intruders the rest of the week. The location on the beach was awesome; the master bedroom my wife and I never wanted to leave. Our family had rented a very extravagant place in Kauai the week before, and an informal poll of which they liked better leaned toward staying in this unit if they had to choose again, which I think says a lot.

We had a great stay. It is an end unit so it was very quiet, private, and the views were incredible. Great layout for our family and the pools within the community were great for the kids. Close proximity to downtown Lahaina. Not close enough for us to walk but a very short drive. The parking situation was very easy for both of our cars as well. The house had plenty of beach towels which was an added bonus.

We loved the property. Nicely updated, plenty of room for everyone. Great view, Pacific Ocean steps from the unit. Community pools were close and nice. Location is great. Easy access to highway and downtown Lahaina.

Absolutely wonderful unit in Puamana. This was our 3rd trip to Puamana and this unit did not disappoint. Three spacious masters with king beds and on-suite bathrooms and a small bedroom with 2 twin was perfect for our family’s needs. The unit was beautiful, clean, and tidy—as advertised in the photos. The property management group was quick and responsive with helping us with a couple small things that needed attention mid-stay. Thank you!

The perfect unit for our family of 8 adults and 1 child. We stayed for 7 nights and had a wonderful experience. Our adult children with their spouses had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. My husband and I love having our private upstairs area. It had an open layout that opens to a full ocean view where we spent most of our time. The unit is steps to the beach and pool. It is clean and nicely furnished, complete with amenities. It is in a great location, short drive to town. The management was easy to deal with. Everything was explained via email prior to our arrival and received follow up instructions by text. I didn’t have to contact them for anything while there, it was all arranged. We will definitely recommend and would love to return.

We had been looking forward to this vacation for months and we were very happy with this rental. We were with our 2 adult children and their spouses and our 16 month old grandchild. We all loved it! It has a great, open living space and 3 bedrooms, each with a full bathroom on the first floor. Upstairs is only the large master suite with a beautiful ocean view from the bedroom with an outdoor deck. Everything was decorated beautifully. When we were not out and about, we spent most of our time on the spacious lanai enjoying the ocean view. The beach was just steps away. We discovered Puamana when our kids were young and have been staying here over the past 25 years whenever we visit Maui. This is our favorite happy place!

We seriously won’t ever stay anywhere else again! This home was absolutely incredible. The views are fantastic, the pictures don’t do it justice. The decor and finishes are top notch. The kitchen and laundry was perfect for our large family. You can stop searching cause if you’ve found this listing, you’ve found your rental!

The units configuration fit our families to a T. Three king beds and two twins. The furniture needs a serious updating, especially the outdoor furnishings. Very uncomfortable. Unable to just lounge outside and enjoy the view for any length of time.

We wanted a private home to avoid crowds at a resort. This home was beyond our expectations!! Beautiful, clean, tons of space and the best of the best was location. You can’t get any closer to the water unless your in it!

Puamana was built in the 60’s and looks it. This unit has been fully refurbished and looks fantastic inside. New everything and everything you need in a vacation rental. They should put a safe for your valuables.

Vacation Maui will get you to download an app for some reason to “enhance your stay”. I’m not sure why as they don’t respond to messages on it. Other than that they were good to deal with.

The pictures didn't do this unit justice. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Every morning you woke up to the sound of crashing waves and the surfers. The unit comes with everything you need. The grounds the unit is on are very tropical and calming. The clubhouse is gorgeous and had an incredible extensive library. No need to pack any books. We found a quiet piece of paradise by the clubhouse that was out of the way right on the water with lounge chairs that over looked the harbor in Lahaina. On a side note, we had a personal chef come in for my 40th birthday which was incredible. We asked him back for a second night. It's what you would pay at any top restaurant and you don't have to drive home! His email is gotchefmaui@gmail.com. He is so worth it!

Just returned from Maui where we rented the Puamana 19-1 property for 10 days. Just an incredible beachfront setting with multiple sliding windows that opens up the entire condo to the ocean. The condo is well appointed with everything you would need for entertainment (great sound system), cooking, beach excursions, etc. Excellent kitchen, living room and porch area with all open to the great ocean view. Nice gas BBQ and utensils for grilling. On the negative side the beds were a little firm and bathrooms are getting to the point of needing a little "refreshing" although they were clean. Those negatives take a distant back seat to the other great attributes of this property. My family would return to Puamana 19-1 in a heartbeat.

Great accommodation. We had two families which included four children, the house is large enough that you are not on top of eachother. The bedrooms are large as well as the common areas. The view is magnificent. The beach at your doorstep is great for dips in the morning and after a days sightseeing. All mod cons are there. Free wi-fi popular with teenagers. Be aware that the town centre - great for dinner, is a 15-20 mins walk. in the heat of the day not so pleasent with children and it cannot be done along the beachfront. Everyone says get a car in Maui and after 2 days we relented and is the way to go, Very easy to get around even for us right hand side drivers. We enjoyed it very much and would stay there again.

We brought our family of six to Puamana. It was not the first time to Puamana, but it was the first time that my wife an I could get our son and wife, daughter and youngest son all together in one place. It was awesome! From watching the surfers on the lanai with coffee in the morning to casual dinner in the evening it was the perfect spot. Four extra comfortable bedrooms, wide open layout, gourmet kitchen all in a private and quiet setting. Of course you are just a short walk to Lahaina for all of the shopping and nightlife you can handle. 19-1 being a corner unit makes entering and exiting easy and allows for a more open floorplan. The views do not get any better than this and you can try a little surfing yourself.

Our condo was great! Spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a week's stay. It was comfy and clean. The Puamana grounds are lush and well kept.

Puamana and this unit are a perfect place to stay on Maui! Close to Lahaina but quiet and spacious grounds make it feel like a resort! The pools are beautiful and the staff manage guests well. Absolutely lovely! The unit was great for our four adult guests and everything we needed was provided in the unit. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place for our family of 4 - 3 of us novice surfers. The community is safe, quiet, and very well maintained. Our condo backed against the main road so occasionally was a little loud in the back yard but we weren't there for the back yard. The ocean and beach was a very short pleasant walk... like 100 yards and had decent small surf when everywhere else was flat. Pools were great, one overlooking the ocean at the clubhouse, and two more throughout the property. Condo kitchen was well outfitted and even had some storage containers for leftovers. Beach/pool towels were a welcome surprise too. Oh, and 3 bathrooms... lastly, don't feed the chickens. seriously... We had a great time, we'll be back!

Near perfect experience. A few issues with cleaning/maintenance, but nothing that was a deal- breaker.

Extremely comfortable and very clean townhome in a beautiful and quiet complex close to Lahaina town. The home had everything one would need for an hawaiian vacation including use of snorkel equipment, lawn chairs and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the equipment and utensils one would require. Although this unit was not directly on beachfront the walk to the beach access area was only a minute away. The only minor downside to this particular unit is that it backs on to a very busy and loud road which one can hear in the back bedroom. It did not particularly bother me at night as I am used to road noise. The complex is exceptionally well maintained with gorgeous gardens, a fabulous beach (with visiting turtles) and the staff and residents were courteous and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to planning my next vacation for next year!

We’ve stayed in Puamana 5 times. First time in this unit. We love the neighborhood, the views, the grounds, the pools and the location. This unit looked like the photos. Puamana is peaceful and beautiful, away from all the resorts.

We were quite happy with 177-2. There were a few things that required tending to (i.e. one of the air conditioners) However, those matters were fixed immediately! Rick, from maintenance, was in contact with me by text, so our vacation was not impacted at all! There IS highway noise in the backyard because, hey, the highway is right on the other side of the fence. That didn't stop us from bbq-ing or watching the chickens and lizards!Close to beach access, including public Puamana Beach, which has a longer beach for lounging and surfing.It's at the far end of Puamana. We found that renting bicycles from Boss Frog's made it a lot easier to go into town.If there is anything that we would change, it's to replace the carpet with a laminate flooring, upgrade the air conditioners (one had to be repaired twice), and get a faster internet connection (we couldn't stream Netflix or Amazon Prime), and add a rice cooker ($29 at Long's)We would definitely rent this condo again.

Calling Puamana 150-2 a "superior oceanfront" accommodation is an absolute understatement. It's nothing less than outrageously stunning, a dream location for a Maui vacation.Sliding glass doors open up the main floor of this home to a stunning view of palm trees and wide open ocean. Breeze blowing and waves crashing 24/7. Living room meets lanai, lanai meets lawn and lawn meets beach. There is no comparison to true ocean front living, where the ocean is much less than a stone's throw away. Three of the bedrooms are simply enormous. The second story master suite opens up to a second story lanai. The other second story room, with en suite, opens wide also with screened window mountain side, and the ocean breeze and sounds flow through. The two first floor bedrooms, with king sized beds and overkill storage space are cooler and also feel the ocean breeze/sounds flowing through.In a word...spacious. In two, spacious and decadent.The beachfront. Well managed beach entry with shower and foot rinse. The sand, with some rocks, boast amply rock free swimming areas. The waves...kept company morning to evening by surfers and paddle boarders from novice to experts.The grounds...mature foliage from grass, to shrubs to trees. Old, well groomed and too wide a variety to count.The rules...good rules. Be respectful of your neighbour, whether driving, dining or playing. Use the right space for the right activity a the right time--just what everyone would want unless you're some college yahoos.Complaints--notta one. The kitchen is on the smaller side and well equipped. Good for two or three in a pinch. Given the challenges of maintaining and oceanfront residence, 150-2 is clearly well looked after. The rental agency - Whalers? After three goes around, I wouldn't call another agency.My only reservation with posting this review--Now I'll be competing with more people the next time I want a reservation here. Our stay couldn't have been better. The condo was comfortable & well equipped. Beds were comfortable & having a washer & dryer on property was handy. I went home with clean clothes! Location to Lahania was perfect. We found beach towels in the hall closet & beach chairs & toys in a closet on the lanai. Much appreciated and came in handy. Going to sleep every night listening to the ocean was heaven as was watching the whales from our own lanai. A previous review complained about dirty carpeting. We found brand new laminate flooring throughout, no carpeting. Thankyou Vacation-Maui!

We had a great time. We have stayed in this unit several times because it is very user friendly. There was new laminate flooring throughout and that was a good upgrade.

We had a great time at Puamana, however, we were disappointed that the AC broke the second night there. I contacted the rental company and they immediately sent out a service tech. He was unable to repair the AC and had to move in portable units in both upstairs bedrooms. The problem with they portable units is they were noisy and blew warm air into the room from a loose exhaust duct. A roll of duct tape corrected the warm exhaust, but they were still noisy. Also there was a lack of cleaning equipment provided, not even a dust pan.

We absolutely love staying in Puamana Community complex. This is the second time staying in Puamana and we just love how quiet it is. The view of the water from the house is amazing! We loved having the doors open to hear the ocean all night long.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Puamana. The condo was clean and had a lot of room for our family We had a beautiful view and enjoyed watching the whales and sunsets from the patio everyday. We made a lot of wonderful memories together as a family and look forward to one day coming back to make new ones.

The location can’t be beat, it was perfect for our family of 5. Right on the water and only a minute away from downtown Lahaina. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it for others looking for an amazing, beautiful, and convenient home while in Maui.

The home is in a great location within a gated community and quiet location, safe for kids to take a evening sunset beach walk. Had an amazing time at the beautiful house, 2 min walk to the beach for great morning walks. The home was as described and met our expectations, The home is couple of miles, from Ka'anapali beach, Honolua Bay and great food places and local food trucks. The home had lots of towels and with inhouse washer and drier which helped with kids beach activity and snokerling. Overall we had a great time and would definetly recommend the home.

Everything was great. The location and my family felt at home. The neighborhood Is peaceful and nice to walk around since the beach is very close.

This place was perfect. We had 7 people between two familes. There was ample space and sleeping for all. The kitchen is a big size with decent cookware. The location is prime and the bang for the buck is perfect. The kids were able to enjoy netflix and swimming at the pool just a few mins walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is located in a great location, at the end of Front street. Just a few minutes drive to the shops. A quiet gated community, with 3 pools and private beach access. Can’t beat that. Also the views from the unit were incredible.

We really enjoyed our holiday in this unit. It was clean,comfortable and well equipped.We especially liked the two large tables and the many chairs for our family and guests to use. The location is perfect too.

It was great to be back. The condo was great and Puamana is so quiet and relaxing. We had a great time, there was a lot of sand at the beach and great waves. We rented two condos but this unit was expanded and all 9 of us did everything in this unit (the other unit didn't even have a table). Seating for 8 at the table, two couches, and two chairs made for some great game nights and family meals. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Having three showers was great also for getting ready to go out at night. The beds were very comfortable too.

We absolutely loved the location, easy check-in, and great place! The kitchen was a huge bonus and we loved having coffee on the lanai watching the whales every morning!

On top of that, the management team and resort team were incredibly attentive, and seemed excited to have us stay at their condo. We rented this studio unit 3 days before arriving and everything went flawless.

The condo is in a perfect location with a wonderful view. However, it felt like I was staying in my Uncle's basement - the furniture is at least 30 years old as are the soft furnishings. I woke up thinking I was 20 years old again and wondering if my sheets were clean (the sheets even felt 30 years old). A little investment in furniture and soft furnishings would push this place past the 5 stars mark. Also, we had a problem with a neighbor smoking weed on his lanai. However one feels about pot, this is a non-smoking building and the stench made it impossible to use the lanai or open our screen doors. It took management 2 days to get back to us, in the meantime we had contacted security. Even with all of this, Maui is a magical place and the condo building is truly a perfect location.

Room had a great view, but needed several things including very spotted rug replaced due to prior use.Main problem was lack of support for after hours problem when cooling system failed.

We had stayed at the Whaler over 30 years ago, and loved it. Of course, when we finally came back to Maui we wanted to stay here again. Great beach, view and close to restaurants and shopping.

Staying at the 1216 Whaler unit was everything we hoped for! Location is perfect. Waking up to the view of the ocean/black rock and having coffee out on the deck was a great way to start our days - so magical to see whales from the deck, too! The grounds, amenities, and staff at the Whaler were all spectacular. We had such a great time staying here - and we would totally come back and stay at the same unit the next time we visit Maui!
