Roomy and clean property. Three full beds, one queen and one king with 2.5 baths. 2 beautiful patios. Plenty of space for my family. Good location, close to beaches. Important to know, you have to drive to beaches. You can walk down a road without side walks and cross a 6 lane road, but we just drove. There is no grill/bbq, which was disappointing. The home is well equipped with wifi and tv. Master bedroom sheets kept coming off the bed, as previously stated in other reviews and should be replaced. The kitchen needs some equipment like a pizza cutter and a metal turner. Otherwise, a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

The home was in a great location walking distance to the beach and beautifully updated. Each room has its own AC unit which was nice to be able to adjust to each persons preference. Only gripe is that neither the unit nor the property have a BBQ so we missed out on grilling, but definitely not a deal breaker.

Our family loved our stay here! We ran into an issue in the guest bathroom on the first day and they had a maintenance man come same day and we were able to use the shower the next day. The house looks just like the pictures. The property that the condo is on is meticulously maintained and just beautiful. You can’t walk to anything from the property if you have small kids. We rented and rental car so it was really no big deal for us. They had extra sand toys, baby items and beach chairs which was awesome. Thanks!

We really enjoyed the stay! It was clean and in a great location. The place looked exactly as pictured and we loved the indoor outdoor feel as well. We enjoyed cooking some nights and staying in and it was great to have on site washer and dryer with all the beach days we had! Loved that there were beach towels and chairs available to use and it made it that much easier. Beds were super comfortable, they had a baby portable crib as well that worked well for our toddler. Over all it was a great place to stay. It is a quiet community and we had one issue with appeared to be a resident of the community but other than that we have no complaints. We highly recommend!

Management is great and easy to work with. I have no complaints about them or their excellent communication. The pictures are accurate and it was amazing staying here with our family for a week. Having a Pack and Play available for our baby was very convenient so we didn't have to worry about bringing something where we could put him to sleep. There's a beach down the street that's easily accessible and lots of food, shopping and other beaches within a reasonable drive. We will definitely try to stay here again next time we're in Maui.

Loved being so centrally located and close to Kapalua, Napili, and Ka'anapaali. We ranged from 12 to 72 (three-generation trip) and all were happy with the accommodations. Lovely morning and evening views on the lanai. Great dinner options, snorkeling, and boating close by! We loved it.

GREAT CONDO

This property fit our family of six perfectly, with room for a couple more! Staying in this side of the highway has its perks but it’s also a little harder to find a way to get to the beach. Once you get the hang of it though it’s not so bad. Everything we needed for our week here was provided, and we’d definitely consider staying here again.

Nicely remodeled condo. Space worked out well for our family. The cushions on the lanai are quite dirty and could you a shampoo or a refresh. Would love to had have a BBQ available either on lanai or in pool area. There are BBQ tools in the kitchen!

Our family of 8 (2 grandparents, 3 adults, 3 kids (including a 10 month old) enjoyed this beautifully remodeled and furnished vacation rental. The sunset view from the living room, lanai and master bedroom were breathtaking. The amenities and beach / pool items were so nice, so that we didn't have to bring it from home or rent it. We'd definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place in the area!
Pros: Easy access to parking lot, entrance to unit, trash and pool. So many amenities, including for kids (bassinet, toy, high chair, beach chairs, mat, body board, beach towels etc). Bath tub was great for the kids. Couch was big and roomy. And the lanai had a great couch as well for eating outdoors. Location was great to enjoy what West Maui has to offer - Lahaina, beautiful beaches (best to go early to secure parking - we tried to go around 7-8am).
Cons: Appliances (dishwasher didn't dry thoroughly), air conditioner (a bit difficult to maintain ideal temperature), dining table (a bit small for 7). Location is great for adults (about a 10 minute walk to the beach), but tough to walk with kids.

Just amazing! Wonderful place, so clean, bright, and spacious. Was there for a girl's trip and it was the most amazing home for us. Very close to lots of great spots, sights, and grocery stores. Amazing view from both lanais, and serene for sunrise and sunset. Would absolutely return again.

The Kaanapali Plantation KP31 was exactly as pictured; it was attractive inside with a nice view of the ocean from the lanais. While it is not right on the beach, it is convenient to the beach, and the price point reflects that as it was more affordable than options on the beach especially when trying to accommodate eight people in a unit where we could all stay together, cook some meals together, and enjoy some TV and game time. The beds were comfortable as were the sofas in the living area. Several streaming options provided a variety of shows when spending time in the condo. Beyond the condo were beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and activities that only required a short drive. When we needed to contact the owner, responses were quick and helpful.

This place was exactly as described. Beautiful home and loved all the decor and modern home. The couch was super comfy and parking was super easy. The only downfall would be the AC unit was very confusing and didn't seem to work well at times. The bedroom with the bunk beds ran super hot. There is no BBQ pit so don't plan to grill. We had a great week in Maui and have stayed at many different places over the years. This condo is located across the highway between Kaanapali and Napili Bay making it easy to get around. You can walk to Whaler's Village using a path by the water. There is a beach very close by that is great for snorkelling and diving less than 5 min. from the condo (we walked). The condo is as pictured and does have a distant ocean view. Couches and beds were comfortable, dining table not so much. The patio furniture was quite dirty and stained and could be refreshed. The kitchen was also not well stocked in terms of plates, glasses and cutlery for a 3 bedroom place. We ran out daily and had to run the dishwasher more than expected for clean dishes. One key disappointment was the lack of BBQ anywhere on this complex, which was a first for us on Maui. The pool in the complex is also underwhelming and very small, we never used it. There were air conditioners in each room but for the first couple of nights we couldn't turn them on. The remotes didn't seem to work and then there were wall panels that also seemed to connect to the a/c but after a few days we kind of figured out how to turn them on. Overall, it's a cute place but the lack of BBQ is a deal breaker for us.

Nicely renovated, comfortable and clean condo.
The only thing I would say is that the sofa sleeper is not really what you would think as a traditional pull out sofa sleeper. We were going to use the sofa sleeper for one of the couples, but does not pull out, just take off the back cushions and you have a twin/possibly considered a full sleeper - we made it work, but could have been a more comfortable. There were nice little touches, like towels for the beach, chairs and beach accessories. Even though the condo is a little ways from the beach, there is a beautiful view. Would recommend and stay again, just know the sleeping situation now.

this home was exactly as advertised. We loved sitting on the patio in the mornings and evenings before sunset! It's a short walk to the beach. The only complaint we would have is that the walls are thin. The neighbors next door had small kids and they were on a different time zone-Many time at 3 or 4 am it sounded like a herd of elephants next door! Other than that, the place was well stocked with kitchen supplies.

Great vacation property

This is by far one of the best air bnb places i have stayed at. Cleanliness is on point, extra pillows vacuum sealed. That’s how you know ( for my OCD peeps). House did not smell musty or moldy. Everything looked better in person than the pictures. Open floor concept for common areas. Light and airy. The air flow was great. We could just throw open the windows and doors and get that ocean breeze! We really felt like we were staying in a model home. We were even provided with a wagon, ice cooler, baby stroller, baby walker. Totally made sure we were beach ready! Extra towels for home and beach. Beach toys, umbrella, chairs, floaties, etc. We never made it to the pool because the beach was nearby. Felt centrally located as it is close beaches, stores and outdoor mall and restaurants. Great for family with kids. Even though we were here for the Maui sights and beaches, we looked forward to even having a chill night here with just pizza! There are not enough words that this place! I would definitely stay here again! I forwarded this listing to all my friends and family that have plans to visit Maui. Property management were great! Made communication easy with any questions including the simplest things like how to work the AC! I cannot state enough how much our family enjoyed this place!

Traveled with our kids and grandkids. This fit our needs perfectly. Upstairs suite was our own private sanctuary while the main floor provided plenty of space for the rest of the family. Furnishings are a bit dated, but overall the home is well maintained. The washer and dryer worked great and allowed us to pack lightly. The management was very responsive throughout the booking process and during the stay. The amenities throughout the gated community are very nice. It was an easy walk (less than a mile) into Lahaina and a short drive to several beaches. Baby Beach was particularly enjoyable for our grandchildren - ages 3 and 1. I would definitely come back again.

We had a great time staying here on our vacation. The place was very clean. When we visited Lahina was very busy making it difficult to find a dinner reservation, so the gas grill on the patio was a very nice addition to our stay.

Loved the location near Lahaina and ocean. The ocean pool was very peaceful and the other pools were warm with shallow areas for the kids.

I rented this unit knowing that the unit was outdated however upon arrival it was worse than expected. Generally, I can make the best of things in order not to complain but when we saw a rodent in the unit that’s when I had to call into management. Surfaces were dusty, sofas smelled of sweat and odor and had food, crayons, paper stuffed under cushions, patio and grill covered in bird poop, old tire on the patio etc.
I enjoyed the grounds and amenities of Puamana but unit 80-3 is in dire need of a good cleaning, de-clutter and attention to deferred maintenance.

Everything was organized perfectly, we had all the information in advance how to enter the complex and the house, it was clean and the stay was nice and relaxing overall. The house is old and needs updating but everything was functioning properly and we have not had any issues with anything. The biggest disadvantage is that there is no access to the beach, only swimming pools available. The complex is beautiful and well maintaned.

We absolutely loved our place in Lahaina! We will definitely be back!

Great location within Puamana, especially if you have a kid who loves the Dolphin Pool. The unit was clean and well equipped, but is in need of a full renovation. The new decor and a few of the new appliances are in stark contrast to other parts of the unit. The rugs need nonslip rug pads under them, as they are quite slippery.

Spacious, clean, well-appointed and comfortable unit. Appreciated it being stocked with coffee + basic spices. I'd stay again. Nice walk (20-30 min) to Front Street/downtown Lahaina. Bathrooms are due for updating (e.g., some very old/blackened caulking in master bath shower) and window AC units worked well but are noisy. Smooth check in and out with helpful ap for details like security codes.

This is the perfect vacation rental. Great location, clean, and well stocked with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable, ac works great. We loved having a kitchen to cook in and a BBQ. We were steps to the ocean. The property is well maintained and beautiful.

Beautiful place to stay

First off... you can not find a better place than Puamana! We will continue to go back year after year! Close to the beach and the most picture perfect adult pool on the island. We had a couple minor glitches with our stay BUT management helped us out right away and continued to stay in great communication with us. I could not ask for anything more. I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

This was our first vacation back to Maui since Covid-19. Our unit was very nice . It was extremely clean. It did back on the highway but noise was minimal. It did lack storage for clothing, as there were no dressers, but we did make due. Management team as excellent, we had several minor issues and they were resolved quickly. We have been to Puamana approximately 20 times , and it has been a great place to spend part of our Canadian winters.However , there is one issue that will probably preclude us from booking again, as the price has gone up approximately %40 from this year to next.

Unit 74-1 was a perfect vacation rental. It was clean and updated with simple but attractive coastal decor. For a one-bedroom unit, it was wonderfully spacious and the location was great--with close proximity to a pool. One small suggestion: there are a couple of throw-rugs that are very slippery on the tile floor, a potential issue for falling. Maybe add some nonskid pads underneath?

You can never go wrong at the Puamana's so clean, so tropical 3 pools an amazing view and close to everything if you want to see things

Nice bedroom and living room. Sofa bed was very comfortable. Master bathroom was quite small, but adequate. Kitchen was well stocked, but a little worn. The traffic noise made it difficult for my wife to sleep. AC was great and help drown out the noise.

Love Puamana, have been staying there since 2001.

Check in was seamless the team Whalers/Vacation Maui are awesome and responsive. WiFi worked well as did the tv. Could see turtles from the porch and deck. This is our third time staying in one of their properties, and they always have common items stocked, and check in to see if we need anything.

The complex was casual and friendly with an unparalleled beach in the Lahaina area. Great view from inside and outside the condo. We loved it here and would stay here again.

We appreciated the updated linens, as well as the new kitchen appliances .

The condo is in a great location - close to all three pools, close to the beach access and close to the club house. The interior is dated, but comfortable. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and having AC in all the rooms is a welcome treat when coming in from the heat. This was our family’s first stay at Puamana, but we will definitely be coming back. The property feels safe, is quiet and family friendly. Loved being able to walk to Lahaina.

An amazing spot to watch the surf breaks and beautiful views of Lanai. The upstairs deck off of the master is the best seat in the house! The rest of the interior is a little dark but all is takes is a few steps to the lanai and you’re in paradise. Kitchen is updated and well-stocked with cute dishes and glasses.

It was everything we had hoped for! Close access to a private beach, comfortable living space, short distance to Lahaina and felt like Home away from home. We love sitting out on the lanai every morning and evening watching the surfers and taking in the ocean air. We will definitely be back!

This was our fourth stay at Puamana. We would give this unit our highest rating by far. It's a beautiful property looking out on a beautiful view. Everything was clean and there were no maintenance issues. Our only concern was the confusing information regarding the checkout time. Our initial contract indicated an 11am checkout, around which we planned our final day. That time was confirmed in writing when we made our final payment. But apparently the fine print of the contract had changed to a 10am checkout without that change being highlighted. The day before we left we were informed that we needed to leave the unit an hour earlier than planned. Our request for an 11am checkout was rejected and this left us with a bad feeling at the end of a perfect stay.

Puamana is a great gated community right near the center of Lahaina. The property we stayed at is right on the ocean with tremendous views of the ocean. It is quiet, well maintained with spacious and beautiful accommodations. We have been here several times before and can't wait to come back again!

This is a fabulous property. The bed however is pretty soft and uncomfortable and the pillows super hard. Otherwise this is the best unit we have ever rented.
